What the site is, and is not
Applidex is a reference index. It collects facts that appliance manufacturers have published about their products, including specifications, documents and error-code explanations, and presents them by model number with a link to the source. It is not the manufacturer, a retailer, a repair service or a professional advice service.
Accuracy
We work hard to get the information right, and every fact names its source, but information on this site may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. It is extracted by software from documents that manufacturers change and sometimes publish with errors, and a manufacturer may use the same model number for different variants in different markets. Before relying on anything here, check it against the manufacturer's current official documentation, which we link to wherever we can. We give no warranty that any specification, measurement, document, error-code meaning or recommended action is accurate, complete or suitable for your appliance.
Safety
Appliances use mains electricity, water and gas, and can injure or kill. Nothing on this site is an instruction to open, test or repair an appliance. Before you check anything, switch the appliance off and unplug it or isolate it at the fuse board, and turn off the water or gas supply. Do only what the manufacturer's manual describes for a user. Anything involving the casing, wiring, heater, motor, gas supply or refrigerant is work for a qualified, and where required registered, engineer. If you smell gas or see sparking, smoke or water near electrics, leave the appliance alone and call the appropriate emergency or utility service. You are responsible for your own safety and for any work you choose to do.
Trademarks and independence
Applidex is independent. It is not connected to, endorsed by or affiliated with any appliance manufacturer, retailer or repair company. Manufacturer and product names, model numbers and logos are the trademarks of their owners and appear here only to identify the appliances they refer to. Documents and photographs remain the property of their publishers; we link to them and do not host them. If you own rights in something shown here and want it removed or credited differently, write to [email protected] and we will act on it.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to create an account, and you may hold one account.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Using the site fairly
Please do not copy the index in bulk, run automated scraping, try to get around rate limits or security, or use the site to break the law. Quoting a fact with a link back is welcome. Search engines and AI assistants may read and cite the site under the rules in our robots.txt.
Links to retailers
Some "find parts" links take you to retailers and are affiliate links: if you buy after following one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked, never affect what we publish, and any purchase is between you and the retailer. Check that a part fits your exact model and variant before ordering.
Our liability
We provide the site as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or cost that comes from relying on information on this site, from work you do on an appliance, from a document or site we link to, or that we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version, and we will tell members by email about important changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
